These are the circumstances in which we treat your personal data:

Agreeement
When you have previously, freely, specifically, on an informed basis and unequivocally, expressly stated your wish (“opt-in”), whether in writing, orally or by validating an option available for that purpose. Examples are the agreement for the analysis of service usage and definition of a consumption profile to recommend media content, for sending communications about products and services of NOS, the NOS Group or partnerships, including electronic communications, cinema, insurance, alarm products or others that may come to be included in the product or partnership portfolio, as well as for the use of recordings of calls you make to our call centers with the goal of improving the quality of our customer service;

Contract execution and pre-contractual diligence
When the processing of personal data is necessary to carry out pre-contractual steps requested by potential Customers wishing to take up NOS services or products, such as, for example, data for the preparation of a commercial proposal at the request of Customers, and/or for the signature, execution and management of the contract entered into with NOS, the installation address, contact details, information and requests, invoicing, collection and payment data;

Compliance with legal obligations
When the processing of personal data is necessary to comply with a legal obligation to which NOS is subject, such as, for example, the communication of identification data or electronic communications service usage data to police, judicial, tax or regulatory entities, or of location data to ensure emergency services, or of images from video surveillance systems;

Legitimate interest
When the processing of personal data corresponds to a legitimate interest of NOS or of third parties, such as, for example, the processing of data to improve the quality of service, for instance to improve customer service, to guarantee the security of the network and services, the detection of fraud and protection of revenue, the communication of data to other operators for interconnection or roaming purposes, and when, in accordance with the balancing test carried out, the reasons for the processing of your personal data prevail over other interests.

Consent for minors
In the case of the processing of personal data of minors (under 13 years of age) which may be subject to prior consent, NOS will require that agreement be given by those holding parental responsibility for the minor, specifically for the provision of services, at a distance, by electronic means. The right to object is exercised by completing the declaration available in this form.
