2026

Trusted Brand

NOS was awarded the “Trusted Brand 2026” prize in the “Mobile Networks and Multimedia” category, an initiative that recognises the brands most valued and trusted by consumers in Portugal. NOS further strengthened its leadership position by ranking ahead of the other operators in 9 of the 11 parameters assessed, standing out consistently in consumers’ spontaneous choice.

 

Product of the Year 2026

Once again, the Portuguese public has recognised the innovation and quality of NOS’s telecommunications and entertainment services and offers. NOS was distinguished as “Product of the Year” in the categories of Television Services and Fixed Internet.

NOS TV was recognised for its integrated experience across different screens and devices, allowing customers to start and continue content easily, wherever they are. Meanwhile, the More Wi-Fi Package stands out as the only offer that combines fibre internet with guaranteed Wi-Fi coverage throughout the home in a single package.

This distinction results from direct consumer assessment under the international Product of the Year scheme, which recognises products and services for their innovation.

Best Mobile Network in the Country

NOS was once again recognised by DECO PROteste for having the Best Mobile Network in the Country, based on the overall results of the quality tests carried out by the consumer association over the past six months. The score reflects the assessment of several parameters, including download and upload speed, web browsing and streaming.

 

2025

Recommended Brand 2025

NOS was once again recognised for the close support and assistance provided to its customers, achieving the highest satisfaction index in the TV, Internet and Telephone Operators category on Portal da Queixa.

This distinction, relating to performance on Portal da Queixa and awarded by Consumers Trust, carries even greater value as it is based on the genuine and independent assessment of consumers.

This is the first time an operator has received this triple distinction, a recognition that places NOS at the top of the main telecommunications categories.

NOS’s Internet service, with Wi-Fi 6 routers, was recognised for download and upload speed, signal strength and energy efficiency. NOS TV stood out for ease of first use, remote-control experience, zapping speed, and the intuitive management of recordings and privacy. NOS’s MOBILE network was awarded across 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G networks, with particular recognition for its excellent latency, file transfer quality, accessibility, and performance in browsing and streaming.

This distinction reinforces NOS’s commitment to providing its customers with a complete, reliable and ever-improving telecommunications experience.

2024

NOS has the fastest 5G mobile network in Portugal

For the third consecutive year, NOS’s 5G mobile network has been recognised as the fastest in Portugal. This result was validated through more than 254,000 tests carried out by users via Ookla®️ Speedtest®️ during the first and second quarters of 2024.

To achieve this distinction, the top performers in each category must have a satisfaction index score of at least 70 out of 100.

Recommended Brand 2024

NOS was recognised as Recommended Brand 2024 for its ongoing work in providing close support and assistance to its customers, achieving the highest satisfaction index in the TV, Internet and Telephone Operators category. This distinction, relating to performance on Portal da Queixa and awarded by Consumers Trust, carries added value as it is based on the independent assessment of consumers.

This is an important recognition, but it is also an affirmation of NOS’s commitment to delivering an ever better experience to its customers.

This distinction is based on the average satisfaction index achieved by each brand in its category during 2023. The index is calculated from consumers’ evaluations of their complaints on Portal da Queixa, with a total of 14,780 brands assessed across 26 categories and 269 subcategories.

To achieve this distinction, the top performers in each category must have a satisfaction index score of at least 70 out of 100.

2023

Ookla® - Fastest mobile network​

According to Ookla®, NOS is the operator with the fastest mobile network in Portugal. This distinction is based on the results of an extensive data analysis, drawing on more than 16 million tests carried out across 39 European countries.

Product of the Year 2023

Once again, the Portuguese public has recognised the innovation and quality of NOS’s telecommunications and entertainment services and offers. NOS stood out as “Product of the Year” in the following categories: Internet Services, with Safe Browsing; Television Experience, with UMA TV NOS; TV Apps, with the NOS TV App; Signal Extenders, with NOS Wi-Fi Total; and also in the Security Services category, with the NOS | Securitas Smart Alarm.

DECO PROTESTE - Best in Test “Mobile Internet”

NOS stood out across the full user experience in all criteria assessed: download and upload speed, internet browsing quality and streaming service quality. This distinction is based on the latest comparative study by the QualRede platform, through which more than 60,000 consumers assessed the performance of national mobile networks each month.
To achieve this distinction, the top performers in each category must have a satisfaction index score of at least 70 out of 100.

2022

Ookla® - Fastest 5G network

According to Ookla®, NOS is the operator with the fastest 5G network in Portugal. This distinction is based on the results of an extensive data analysis, drawing on more than 73 thousand tests carried out by users of the Speedtest® platform across the three operators during the first half of 2022.

Opensignal - Most awarded mobile experience

According to Opensignal, NOS is the most awarded operator in the assessment of mobile network experience in Portugal. The study took place between 1 September and 29 November 2021, assessing the experience offered by the three national operators across seven categories: Video Experience, Games Experience, Voice App Experience, Download Speed Experience, Upload Speed Experience, 4G Availability and 4G Coverage.

Product of the Year 2022

The Portuguese public once again recognises the innovation and quality of NOS’s telecommunications and entertainment services and offers.

NOS received the distinction in the four categories for which it was nominated: Telecommunications Experience, with the most advanced Mobile Network offer; Wi-Fi Signal Boosters, with the Power Wi-Fi solution; Android TV Box, with the new Android TV NVIDIA Shield TV; and TV App, with the NOS TV App.

According to Ookla®, NOS is the operator with the fastest mobile network in Portugal. This distinction is based on the results of an extensive data analysis, drawing on more than 185 thousand tests carried out by users of the Speedtest® platform across the three operators during the second half of 2021.

2020

Ookla® - Best mobile network coverage

According to Ookla®, NOS is the operator with the best mobile network coverage in Portugal, as shown by the Coverage ScoreTM results*, which measure the overall availability and extent of network coverage based on user tests carried out through the Speedtest® platform.

Product of the Year 2020

Once again, the Portuguese public recognises the innovation and quality of NOS products and services.

Proof of this is the four “Product of the Year 2020” awards won in the areas of TV experience with UMA TV, account management with the NOS App, cinema with the NOS Cinema App, and 5G with the new NOS mobile network, ready for 5G.

2019

Consumer Choice 2019

The NOS TV App won the preference of the Portuguese public in Consumer Choice 2019. Conceived and developed from scratch by NOS Inovação, this app allows users to access their home TV content easily and intuitively across multiple devices, wherever they are.

Consumer Choice 2018

For the fourth consecutive year, NOS once again stood out in the “Consumer Choice” awards as the preferred brand of the Portuguese public in the Quadruple Play (4P) and Cinema Screens categories.

Product of the Year 2018

Once again, the Portuguese public recognised NOS’s innovation, awarding the operator the highest distinction in the “TV Solutions” category (UMA TV) and the “Fixed and Mobile Internet Services and Apps” category (NOS Indie).

2017

After being elected “Trusted Brand” in 2016, the operator retained the title this year in the Telecommunications and Multimedia category.

Consumer Choice 2017

For the third consecutive year, the leading telecommunications and entertainment operator in Portugal once again stood out in the “Consumer Choice” awards as the preferred brand of the Portuguese public in the Mobile Telecommunications, Quadruple Play (4P) and Cinema Screens categories.

Product of the Year 2017

Once again, the Portuguese public recognised NOS’s innovation, awarding the operator the highest distinction in the TV App category.

2016

Customer satisfaction - ECSI Portugal 2016 study

NOS once again achieved the highest scores in the ECSI Portugal 2016 study - National Customer Satisfaction Index for the pay-TV service (for the sixth consecutive year) as well as for the fixed voice service (for the fourth time), according to the assessment made by Portuguese consumers.

Contact Center World Awards 2016

NOS once again gained international recognition in the categories of “Best Customer Service”, “Best Service to Sales” and “Best Social Media Support” for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, by winning the Contact Center World 2016 awards.

Trusted Brand 2016

In the study carried out by Seleções do Reader’s Digest, which assesses across 65 different categories the trust Portuguese consumers place in brands operating in Portugal, NOS stood out by winning consumer preference in the “Telecommunications and Multimedia Operators” category.

Consumer Choice 2016

For the second consecutive year, NOS won all the Telecommunications categories in the “Consumer Choice” awards, with its convergent 4P services offer and Mobile Telecommunications being recognised, as well as the Cinema Screens category.

Product of the Year 2016

For the fourth consecutive year, the Portuguese public recognised the innovation and quality of NOS’s telecommunications and entertainment services and offers. N Play, App NOS Iris, Quatro packages, Tudo tariff and the NOS Card were elected Products of the Year in the telecommunications segment.

2015

Product of the Year 2015

For the third consecutive year, the Portuguese public recognised the innovation and quality of NOS’s telecommunications and entertainment services, awarding the title of “Product of the Year - Grand Prize for Marketing and Innovation” to the NOS Quatro Cinema package in the “Quad-Play Packages” category.

Consumer Choice 2015

NOS was the overall winner of the annual “Consumer Choice” study, carried out by Consumer Choice, by winning the preference of Portuguese consumers in the Quadruple Play, Mobile Telecommunications and Entertainment & Information categories. Among more than 70,000 participants, who assessed 614 brands across 118 categories, NOS was the only winner in all telecommunications categories.

2014

Customer satisfaction - ECSI Portugal 2014 study

For the fifth consecutive year, NOS achieved the highest scores in the ECSI Portugal 2014 study - National Customer Satisfaction Index in the pay-TV service, and also saw its fixed network recognised as the best on the market according to the assessment of Portuguese consumers.

NOS leads overall customer satisfaction compared with the other players in the market, with its pay-TV services scoring 7.50 points on a scale of 1 to 10. Its fixed telephone offer stands ahead of the remaining operators with 7.51 points.

Best customer service in the world

NOS customer service was, for the third consecutive year, considered the “Best Customer Service in the World”, an achievement never before reached by any other international company. This distinction reflects NOS’s commitment to leading in customer experience and satisfaction across its services.

At the Contact Center World Awards 2014, whose ceremony took place in Las Vegas on 14 November, NOS won a total of three gold medals:

  • Best Technological Innovation - UFE Application
  • Best Loyalty Programme - NOS Card

NOS was recognised in five categories in the Five Stars Award, for the innovation of its products and services:

Contact Center World Awards 2014

NOS was once again recognised internationally for its Customer Service, with five awards at the Contact Center World Awards 2014, achieving the unprecedented feat of winning the Gold medal in the “Best Customer Service” category in EMEA for the fourth consecutive year, something never previously achieved by any company worldwide. The awards won were:

  • Gold - Best Customer Service
  • Gold - NOS Card - Best Loyalty Programme
  • Gold - UFE Application - Best Technological Innovation
  • Silver - Best Contact Centre Design and Best Customer Service
  • Honourable Mention in the “Self-Service Technology” category

Ready-to-use Internet – Product of the Year 2014

NOS’s Ready-to-use Internet was elected Product of the Year 2014 in the Internet Access category. It was the first internet service with immediate installation, capable of being used in up to three different locations, offering download speeds of up to 100 Mbps, unlimited traffic, and the option to add a complementary telephone package. Users simply need to plug the equipment into an electrical socket to start browsing via Wi-Fi on all devices, including computers, tablets and smartphones.

2013

Satisfação de cliente - estudo ECSI Portugal 2013

Integrados na oferta convergente de entretenimento e telecomunicações da NOS, os serviços de pay TV, voz móvel e voz fixa acabam de ser distinguidos pelos Portugueses como os melhores do País, no estudo ECSI Portugal 2013 - Índice Nacional de Satisfação do Cliente. Os serviços da NOS foram assim reconhecidos pelo quarto ano consecutivo numa iniciativa que revela anualmente os bens e serviços favoritos dos portugueses em vários sectores de atividade, por via da satisfação do cliente.

A NOS lidera a satisfação global do cliente face aos restantes players do mercado com os serviços de televisão por subscrição a registarem 7,39 pontos, numa escala de 1 a 10. A oferta de voz móvel distancia-se dos restantes operadores com 7,94 pontos e a voz fixa lidera com 7,50 pontos.

Escolha do Consumidor 2013

Num estudo levado a cabo pela Consumer Choice - Centro de Avaliação da Satisfação do Consumidor, as duas marcas do grupo ZON OPTIMUS veem reconhecida a satisfação que geram junto dos consumidores nacionais. O estudo envolveu 40.712 participantes que avaliaram 441 marcas, em 102 categorias.

A Optimus foi considerada a operadora móvel preferida pelos consumidores Portugueses pelo segundo ano consecutivo, destacando-se pela qualidade dos seus serviços de Voz, Internet Móvel e Aplicações. A ZON foi distinguida pelo serviço Iris, que se destaca por ser personalizável, multiplataforma e não linear. Este reconhecimento reforça o carácter inovador, com produtos diferenciadores, que distingue as duas marcas.

Prémio de Melhor ISP

A ZON voltou a estar em destaque como Melhor ISP 2013. Os leitores da Revista PC Guia voltaram a eleger a ZON como a melhor no mercado de prestação de serviços de Internet. Este prémio vem demonstrar a satisfação dos Clientes e reflete o forte investimento que tem sido feito na melhoria da qualidade do serviço. Os Prémios Leitor PC Guia são um importante fator de distinção, identificando em diferentes categorias as inovações tecnológicas que marcam a atualidade (escolha auditada pela BDO Binder & Co). Distinguem marcas, produtos e serviços de excelência no panorama tecnológico nacional, dando a conhecer quais as soluções relativamente às quais os utilizadores têm razões indiscutíveis para se manterem fiéis.

Download to Own - Produto do Ano

Distinguido com o prémio ‘Produto do Ano’ na categoria Inovação em Pay TV, o serviço Download to Own permite aos clientes comprarem os seus filmes preferidos no ZON Videoclube. Trata-se de um serviço pioneiro no mercado português de televisão por subscrição, através do qual os clientes passam a ter disponível a opção de comprar filmes e guardá-los para sempre, podendo vê-los em qualquer device: TV, PC, e futuramente, Tablet ou Smartphone.

Optimus - Melhor Serviço ao Cliente

A Optimus foi mais uma vez distinguida mundialmente pelo seu Serviço ao Cliente, no Contact Center World 2013, a maior associação de profissionais de Contact Center a nível mundial, tendo conseguido o feito inédito de ser considerada, pelo segundo ano consecutivo, a empresa com o “Melhor Serviço ao Cliente do Mundo”.

A distinção conquistada no Contact Center World 2013 coloca a Optimus num patamar de referência mundial no serviço ao Cliente e vem reconhecer o nosso compromisso diário de proximidade e total orientação para a satisfação do consumidor.

Best Incentive Scheme

A ZON foi duplamente premiada na edição de 2013 dos EMEA Contact Center World Awards em Áustria. O serviço de apoio ao cliente conquistou a medalha de Ouro na categoria "Best Incentive Scheme" e a área de telemarketing viu a sua estratégia de vendas reconhecida com a medalha de Prata na categoria de "Best Sales Campaign".

Na categoria de "Best Incentive Scheme", a ZON venceu a multinacional Sitel, o Bank Aljazira e a empresa russa NRS (National Recovery Service).

Iris online

A experiência de TV multiplataforma Iris online foi distinguida, a nível internacional, com os TV Connect Industry Awards na categoria Best TV On the Move Service.

Atribuído em 35 países, este prémio é eleito pelos consumidores através de um estudo de mercado que avalia a atratividade do serviço, nível de utilização e nível de satisfação.

Melhor Reputação em Pay TV

A ZON é o operador de Pay TV nacional com o melhor Índice de Reputação, com uma avaliação de 73,72%, face a uma média do setor de 67,04%, de acordo com o Marktest Reputation Index 2013 (MRI). Neste estudo são abordadas 17 categorias e mais de 80 marcas. Resulta de um valor médio ponderado para 4 indicadores base: confiança, imagem, familiaridade e Word of Mouth.

A familiaridade é o atributo melhor avaliado para a ZON, e a empresa apresenta ainda os melhores níveis de satisfação e recomendação junto do público mais jovem e na faixa dos 35/44 anos.
