NOS Inovação is a company of the NOS Group that was created out of a spin off of some of the assets of NOS Comunicações. Its mission is to encourage and carry out scientific activity and research (R&D), as well as to demonstrate, divulge and transfer technology and training in the following areas: information systems and services, and latest generation television, internet, voice and data fixed and mobile solutions.

NOS Inovação is also responsible for the licensing and provision of engineering and consulting services in information, communications and electronic technologies in Portuguese and international markets.
